Police chief finalists scheduled to appear at Sept. 8 forum

As part of the search for Evanston’s next chief of police, community members are invited to get to know the candidates selected as finalists for the position during a virtual candidate forum held via Zoom on Thursday, September 8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Meet the finalists:

Migdalia Bulnes: Deputy Chief of Police for the Chicago Police Department
Joshua Hunt: Chief of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Investigations Bureau
Schenita Stewart: Deputy Chief of Police for the East Dundee Police Department
Community members are invited to submit questions for the candidates in advance online by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7 or by calling or texting 847-448-4311. The forum will be live-streamed, recorded and replayed on City Channel 16 and on YouTube.

Following the event, a feedback form will be made available on the City’s website for residents to provide their input.

After the forum, City Manager Stowe will host one-on-one interviews with the final candidates and extend an offer for appointment to the person who best fits the leadership needs of the community.
